BULLY DOG CORNBELT CLASH SET FOR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

SOMERSET, PA. (MAY 17, 2013) Bilstein Modified Lite STARS will be on hand for the first annual Bully Dog Cornbelt Clash set for the Memorial Day Weekend. Drivers in the five state STARS Heartland regions will have the opportunity to run four straight nights taking home cash and award exceeding $8000. Jimmy May, Mod Lite STARS Heartland West regional director worked hard with the MADCRA group president Mike Kennedy putting this big weekend together, Bill Bauer STARS President of Racing Operations stated “Our goal with the STARS program is to promote mod lite racing and the STARS Heartland Region along with MADCRA has done that.”
The Bully Dog Cornbelt Clash kicks of Friday night May 24th at Marshalltown Speedway and then the drivers will head to Boone Speedway on Saturday May 25th for a $750 to win $100 to start STARS Heartland West regional point’s race. Night three the drives will head to Stuart, IA to the high bank ¼ mile Stuart Speedway for a $750 to win $100 to start STARS Heartland West regional point’s race. Drivers will return Monday, May 27th to Boone Speedway for the final fourth race of the weekend.
Overall weekend champion will secure a $500 Bully Dog Certificate Award along with getting a set of spindles from Velocity Race Cars. There will be extra prizes, contingencies and trophies awarded for each night of racing. The top three point’s getters from the Cornbelt Clash will receive trophies.

Entering its seventh year of operations the Bilstein Modified Lite STARS International Championship Tour represents an aggressive growing segment of motor sports’ racing being recognized as the leader in modified lite racing. In 2012 the STARS series supported 50 events with 280 different drivers competing for regional and national points.
The non-profit organization gives the modified lites community in the United States and Canada the opportunity to compete for enhanced purse and an annual point’s fund.
