Chateau Raceway Classic Dwarf Report May 25, 2007

Chateau Raceway, powered by Husqvarna, was one for two over Memorial Day Weekend for there two scheduled racing events. Thursday Nights "10th Annual Mike Guttormson Memorial" event which was to be run in conjunction with the USMTS racing series was a victim of two straight days of rain. Even though the skies cleared by mid-afternoon Thursday there was not enough time to get the track back in shape for an enjoyable night of racing.

The night’s program was sponsored by "Triple J Disposal" which also sponsors the Classic Dwarf Car Class. The class has been dominated all season by Rick Utley of Byron who entered the night having won all four of his previous heat races this season and three of the classes four features. He added another pair of wins to his total as he scored his fourth clean sweep of the season. Kevin Bigalk of Austin and Dave Marso of Sioux Falls South Dakota put on a good show for second in the main event as they went back and forth and side by side through out the race before Kevin took the second spot at the end of the race.
