Chateau Raceway Classic Dwarf Report June 29, 2007

With six weather related postponements already this season you can't blame track promoters if they spend their week watching the weather and wondering if there was going to be racing this week at Chateau Raceway in Lansing, Powered by Husqvarna.

Triple J Disposal Classic Dwarf action saw Dave Marso of Sioux Falls South Dakota score his first feature win of the season. Kevin Bigalk of Austin had the early lead in the race with Marso running second. The two were starting to lap cars on lap six when Bigalk spun. After being sent to the tail end on the ensuing restart Kevin went to work quickly coming back though the field to salvage a second place finish and tighten things up in the classes points race. Kevin entered the night trailing John Griffin of Caledonia by eight points and ended the night just three markers back.

Racing action continues next Friday night at 7:30 with all six classes scheduled to compete on "L and D Ag Night". The nights kids activities are being billed as "Christmas in July" so it should be an interesting night for racing and track giveaways.
