2007 Track Champions were crowned in AMSOIL Dirt Track Racing Series action Friday Night at Chateau Raceway, powered by Husqvarna, in Lansing. All six drivers who entered the night with the points leads in there respective classes held on for there titles.

The "Triple J Disposal Classic Dwarf Car" class concluded there 2007 season at the track with just six cars showing up for the show. With the class not being included in any of the upcoming specials this was there last chance to hit the track for the year. Kevin Bigalk spent all those final laps out front as he led flag to flag in both the feature and the classes only heat event. Bigalk ended the year with six feature wins and six clean sweep nights to go with those feature wins. John Griffin of Caledonia came home second in the feature ahead of Jeremy Anderson of Faribault.

Last week the track let pit crews get a chance to drive with Mechanics Races, this week it was the ladies turn with Powder Puff races and the unexpected happened. Normally the speeds are greatly reduced as the Moms, Wives, Girlfriends, Friends and Sisters get into the cars so you’re not expecting to see much more than a little bumping. However while working lap two of the Pure Stock Powder Puff event it was a Sister who turned over one of the cars, a Twin Sister in fact. Kaitlin Stark of Austin, 15, driving Twin sister Samantha Stark’s number 77 car got a look at the world from upside down. Kaitlin was in a race for the lead on lap two when she spun coming out of turn two and the car skidded toward the infield. As the car spun around on the wet grass it came back out to the track sideways where the tires hooked the dirt and sent her flipping one time back over onto her wheels. She exited the car and took the rest of her lap on the back of a four wheeler waving to the crowd as she went to the pits. Reva Spitzer of Dodge Center won the race. In the three other Powder Puff events Amy Hewett of Faribault won her race in the Hornets, Kim Harlicker of Claremont won the WISSOTA Street Stock Powder Puff and Loraine Johnson of Dexter took the checkers in the combined WISSOTA Midwest Modified/USRA Modified event. Last weeks Mechanics winners included Mike Adams of Stacyville Iowa (Hornet), Steven Bass of Rogers (Classic Dwarf), Alex Kay of Medford (WISSOTA Midwest Modified), Jordan Evenson of Austin (Pure Stock), Darren Gielser of West Concord (USRA Modified), and Mike Heiny of Austin (WISSOTA Street Stock).

Next weeks racing action will get underway at
7:30.
